SUMMARY

During two years we were doing examinations of cycle of biological development of smilkita (Lotus corniculatus, L), sorta Butmirka - original in agroecological conditions in Doboj for production of seed depending of choice of swath for seed. The results are colected in the second and in the third year of a life of smilkita.

Climatic factors in the years of examination, especially in time of flowering, fertilization and maturing of seed have had big influence what has reflection on yield.

Examination 's results designate to big importance of choice of swath on yield of smilki„ ta's seed.

The yields of seed are good, and the biggest yield of seed (267 and 202 kg/ha) we got from the second swath, when the first swath was mowing in phase of flowering of the first swath, and the smallest yield we got by mowing the first swath for seed (207 and 180 kg/ha).

For production of seed it is better to use the second swath than the first one, because in the second swath we get bigger yields of seeds which has quality, while production of seed from the first and second swath depends of outside conditions and it is regularly uncertain.
