SUMMARY

 

The effects of natural zeolite (Clinoptiolite) as fish food additive added in the quantites of 0,5%, 0,4% and 0,8% on fish body mass increase, food conversion mortality and blood count of S. gairdneri Rich wekw studied in this paper.

The research was carried out in the fish-pond "Arilje" of Rzav River adding 0,5% of zeolite , and in the fish-pond "Gornja Tresnjevica" Ljubovija , adding 0,7% and 0,8% of zeolite.

In both fish-ponds, plant density and homogenous initial individual body mass were payed full attention to. The initial individual body mass was 10 gr in the fish ponds "Arilje" and 75-78 gr in the fish-pond "Gornja Tresnjevica". The experiment lasted till the realization of consuming size.

It was establishet that zeolite had positive effects on body mass increase rate, food conversion and conditional blood parameters of trouts in all thee applied quantities (0,5%, 0,7%, 0,8%) relating to the control group (fed with no zeolite addition).
