SUMMARY

According to the three-years results it can be concluded that:

The rainfall deficit during the growing period of maize was a usual renomena and influenced on the yield of maize. Comparing the amount of rainfall in Priština with those necessary for the maize production, and with the average of several years it is noticed that the rainfall deficit is particularly shown in june, yuly and august - the months very important for forming of maize yield. By the rule, the greatest yields were in the years when there were the greatest rainfalls, i.e. in the period of there summer months (june, july, august). The best yield was at hybrid NS-420, while the differences between the earlier and later hybrids were not statistically significant, It is necessary to continue the work for forming of hybrids much persistant on drought and formuch investments in the irrigation systems.
