SUMMARY
This paper presents results of parallel wearing investigation of mass, surface and cutting edge with 10 ploughshares after 200 ha of ploughed soil. Ploughshares were mounted on fivefurrow reversible plough of the firm Regent designated Saturn 700 SCX powered by a tractor John Deere 8200. Average work speed of 5.58 km/h with variation coefficient of 9.40% was determined during ploughing on Beqe p.l.c. land. The lowest per cent reduction of exchangeable tip length was determined at the ploughshare designated 3 of 12.71% and the highest one with the ploughshare 3.3 even 26.95% . The lowest mass loss was determined with a ploughshare designated 3 (Beqe p.I.c-Remont Beli Manastir) amounting 16.02% of initial mass. The same ploughshare had the lowest area reduction of 9.84% that was confirmed by the best preserved cutting edge. The highest surface loss was determined with a ploughshare designated 5 amounting 34.95% of initial shape.
Key words: ploughshare, mass loss, area loss, ploughshare cutting edge
