All contemporary cropping practices, among which fertilising is one of the most important, are applied in order to obtain stable yields in high yielding hybrides. Effects of seed inoculation of the hybrid ZPSC 704, grown under the application of different rates of mineral nitrogen (control-without fertilisers, 80, 120, and 160 kgN/ha), on yield and soil biological activity were evaluated by microbiological parameters in this study. Inœ cufalion by the mixture of diasofophes was done before planting. Soil biological activity was higher in the inoculated variant showing the decreasing tendency with higher rates of mineral nitrogen. Inoculation lead to higher both, yields and amounts of easy availa„ nitrogen forms.
