SUMMARY

The paper presents results of production traits of new sugar beet hybrids (PKB Iris and PKB Milica) created at Institute PKB "Agroekonomik". Based on results of three years of investigations (1998-2000) within the network of the federal Committee for recognition of varieties, the recognized varieties achieved highly significant higher yields of crystal sugar, as compared to the official standard for sugar beet in FRY.

Production traits of new hybrids were also investigated during 2001 on two locations (Aleksinac and Novi Sad) and compared with certain foreign and domestic sugar beet hybrids.
