SUMMARY
This examination consists of natural population of vineyard peaches in Montenegro as the important source of germplasma peach in Yugoslavia. The process of selection was divided into two phases. The first phase refers on pomological examination of morphological characteristics of fruit and seed, and the other one on morphological characteristic generative rootstocks. The aim of this work is selection, examination and saving vineyard peaches and her use by including her in the breeding program of Montenegro and Yugoslavia. The population of vineyard peaches in Montenegro shows a great genetic variability considering the vigour tree, fertility, mass of the fruit the colour of the skin, colour and quality of flesh, mass and randman stone, germination of seed, the vigour and ramifrication seedlings. Fruits of the genotypes MM 7, MM 10 and GB 15 have great organoleptical features of vineyard peaches. Genotypes GB 9, MM 8 PG 16 and PG 18 show combine features. The seeds can be use as a rootstocks, and the quality of the fruit affords his use in the fresh condition and for production. Genotype BP 20 is recommended to the exploitation of seed. Genotypes MM 8 and GB 9 have great fertility in dry conditions. Genotype MM 8 is very interesting, whose tree although 32 year old, is vital, vigour, and fertility.
