SUMMARY
In this work cv Krstac was examined during four-year period to assess its degree of adaption to agro ecological condition of Ćemovsko Valley and possibility of its expanding in Montenegro. Evaluation included ampelographic description, agro-biological and economictehnological features. The vine x row spacing was 2,6 x 0,8 m. The supports were five wires for bilateral cordon trained. This cultivar was grafted on K5BB rootstock. cv Krstac was pruned to two-ten bud canes and four-three bud spurs (32 buds/vine). Vinegrape was vigorous. It had hermafrodite flowers. Medium-large clusters, weighing 350g was moderately compacted with medium-large berries of yellowish-green colour when fully ripe. Fructification was normal and regular and active vegetative growth (bud burst-leaf fall period) was influenced by enviromental factors in each year. The data showed that grape ripens by the beginning of September. Berries of this cultivar were sensitived to gray rot and fruit ripening did not finish well in over-average rain fall year. It gives abundant yield and low sugar content in the must. High incidence of gray rot caused erlier harvesting in 1996 and 1998 respectively. Composition of wine was very poor and alcohol content was relatively low in 1996 year. Wine was dry, harmoniously tasted and had a characteristic bouqet for investigated cultivar in 1997 year which abunded of sunshine and warmth.
