SUMMARY
The research was aimed at growth variability assessment in the broilers in the intensive fattening. At the beginning of the trial, a total of 200 1-old broilers of the proveniance Hybro, was used. Their fattening lasted for 49 days, and the dynamics of growth was determined through the individual measurements of the trial broilers every seventh day.
Beside the basic statistical indices (`x , SCI, Cv), data processing also implied calculatins of additional indices determining the existing variability more precisely(ßl, ß2, Q25, Q75 i IKR).
The analysis pointed at the significant differences in the average values, variance and the coefficient of variation between the two sexes.
After their computing, the corresponding coefficients (ßl) indicated an absence of asymmetry in nearly all the measurements. Moreover, the coefficients of flattening (ß2) pointed at the conclusion that in all the measurements, excepting the 7th in the males and the 3rd in the females, the functions appeared to be more or less flattened or even elongated compared to the normal.
Further detailed analysis enabled us to notice a large range of variant distribution, since the interquarter difference was two- and even fivefold less than the variation width in all the measurements and in both sexes.
