SUMMARY

According to the results got in the three years period (1998 – 2000) we can conclude the following: Germinability of peach pollen and fruit embrion mostly depends on agroecological conditions in the given locality. Germinability of the examined apple pollen varieties was 67.15 %. The peach variety Early Redhaven had the most germinability of pollen 89.66 %, at an average and the peach variety White Lady the least, 73.33% at an average. The peach variety Early Redhaven had the most fruit embrion 97.43%, at an average and the peach variety Harmonia the least, 73.23 % at an average. Fruit mass of the examined varieties was 109.84 g. The peach variety Fayette had the most fruit mass 166.52 g, at an average and the peach variety Harmonia the least 73.23 % at an average.
