Efficient Strategies in Fighting Weeds with the Help of Herbicides in Peach-Tree Orchards

    ABSTRACT

The research has been carried on in freeiting peach tree chard within the Didactic Station in Timisoara, between 2000-2001. The following perennial weed species were predominant in the first mental year Convolvulus arvensis, Agropyron repens, Cardaria draba and Cynoclon dactylom. Other annual dicotyledonated weed species were also present in the second yard. Thes must efficient strategy in weed control consisted in applying preemergent herbicides felowed by 1-2 treataments during vegetation with the total herbicide Roundup CS (Glifosat 360 g/l). Fruit yield between 200-2001 correlated with the weed control degree. Tested herbicides did not resultat in phytotoxicity symptoms in peac-trees.
