SUMMARY
With its heterogeneous relief and geographical location, Macedonia is characterized with specific climatic characteristics. In the tested vineyards the mean annual air temperature varies from 9.5] C to 14.2 ] C. The mean vegetative air temperature varies from 14.4] to 19.8 ] C The annual temperature sum varies from 3486] C to 5198 ] C. The vegetative temperature sum varies from 4238 ] C. The active temperature sum varies from 2763] Cto 4391 ] C. The effective temperature sum varies from 2763 ] C to 4391 ] C. The effective temperature sum varies from 1063 ] C to 23271 C. The hydrotermal coefficient varies from 10 to 2.1 the heliotermal coefficient from 3.1 to 7.0, and the bio climatic index varies from 6.3 to 12.7. In the climatic zone A belong Prespa and Pijanec vineyards . In the climatic zone B : Ohrid, Tetovo, Kicevo, Prilep, Bitola and Kratovo vineyards. In the climatic zone C1: Kumanovo, Strumica- Radovis, Ovcepole and Skopje vinayrds. In the climatic zone C2: Kocani, Veles, and Tikves vineyards. Gevgelia – Valandovo vineyard belongs to the climatic zone C3. In Poinja – Osogovo and Pelagonia – Polog vineyards regions leading table cultivar is muskat hamburg. In Povardarje vineyard most freqent vine cultivars are: vranac, merlo, kadarka, kaberne savignon, stanushina, burgundac blac, smederevka, rizling, semijon, shardone, zilavka, temjanika and rkaciteli. In the region high quality of the table grapes is obtained from the cultivars: kardinal, ribier, afuz-ali, italia, palieri, belo tÐzimsko, crven valandovski drenak and agadaj.
Based on the showed climatic conditions and determined climatic indicators, consulsion can be made that best characteristics posesses Povardarje vineyard where many vine and table cultivars can successfully be cultivated from 1st to 4th epoh of maturity.
